The first time I stayed in a hotel that looked perfect online but felt completely wrong in person, I was reminded of something I now bring into every itinerary we create at LDV & CO.

A beautiful photo does not tell you everything.

It does not tell you that the room faces a busy road. That the “perfect location” means climbing a steep hill after dinner. That the restaurant everyone recommends has lost the warmth that made it special. Or that the small family-run place around the corner is where you will have the meal you talk about for years.

That is the difference between booking a trip and curating an experience.

You can book Italy from your phone. Flights, hotels, train tickets, restaurants, tours—it is all available with a few taps.

But Italy is not meant to be experienced through a checklist.

We Do Not Curate From a Brochure

Those are the questions that matter.

Many travellers arrive with the same list: Rome, Florence, Venice, the Amalfi Coast, perhaps a few extra stops saved from Instagram.

And understandably so. Italy is full of places you dream of seeing.

But when every day is built around checking out, checking in, catching a train, and racing to the next destination, there is little time to actually be present.

Some of the best moments in Italy happen when nothing is scheduled.

Our service is offered on a consulting basis through a professional planning fee because creating a meaningful itinerary takes more than making reservation.

It takes time.

And it takes knowing the difference between what looks good online and what will genuinely elevate your time away.
